California State Queens

Congratulations Andrea

Congratulations Andrea Snyder...

Date: 08/15-16/09

YORBA LINDA — The

California State Queens was

held August 15-16 at Yorba

Linda Bowl in Orange County.

Andrea Snyder, the left-hander

from Pomona, dominated

the entire weekend. She was

the high qualifier in the Last

Chance squad with scores of

190-236-247-290-208-290

(1461). Following right behind

her in second was Caycee

Landers with 210-248-269-

235-225-242 (1429). Andrea

also earned the high game bonus

award for the Last Chance

squad with two 290 games. 14

bowlers qualified directly into

the finals from the Women’s

Championships that were held

at Yorba Linda Bowl and Forest

Lanes. Bowlers used their

six game Doubles/Singles

scratch scores at Forest Lanes

for their seeded positions.

Paula Vidad from Crestline

was top qualifier through the

Championships with a score

of 1,359 and teammate Laurie

Soto was not far behind her in

second with 1,320. The last

person to make the cut was

Chevonne Christian from Ontario

with 1,199. The past two

champions, Tennelle Milligan

(2008) and Dede Davidson

(2007) were not able to attend,

so the two extra spots were

filled from the Last Chance

squad, completing the finals

field of 30.

Andrea remained undefeated

throughout the double elimination

finals and after

10 rounds of bowling, was

crowned the Queen with Christy

Asher from Costa Mesa as

runner up. A special guest was

in our crowd this weekend

and so our 1975 past Queens

Champion, Jean Worthy presented

Andrea with her tiara,

flowers and trophy. Along

with the title, Andrea earns an

entry into the 2010 USBC National

Queens event ($300 entry)

and an entry into the 2010

California State Queens to be

held at Tyme to Bowl Lanes

in Oroville. Andrea Snyder

would like to thank Vance Sisk

at Matter of Degrees Pro Shop

her equipment and supporting

her through everything. She

would also like thank her dad

for his love and endless support…

And last but not least,

award of 462 between Roberta

Vann and Chrystelle Gallo.
